We are looking for a seasoned compliance and regulatory professional to join Neverless at board level and own the compliance function across our regulated entities. The ideal candidate brings deep regulatory expertise, sound judgment, and the credibility to engage regulators, challenge management, and ensure the business grows within its regulatory perimeter.

Responsibilities

You will provide board-level oversight of compliance across our regulated entities — setting the standards, asking the hard questions, and ensuring Neverless earns and keeps the trust of its regulators.

• Building and maintaining the compliance framework across applicable EU and international regulatory regimes
• Overseeing AML/KYC policies, client asset safeguarding, and internal control systems
• Engaging directly with Latvijas Banka and other relevant authorities on compliance-related matters
• Reviewing and challenging new products, business lines, and operational changes from a compliance perspective
• Designing escalation procedures, incident response protocols, and compliance reporting structures
• Preparing compliance reporting for the board and senior management
• Building and managing a compliance team as the company scales

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a top university
• Significant experience in financial regulation, compliance, or regulatory affairs — whether at a regulator, regulated institution, law firm, or consultancy
• Deep familiarity with EU financial services frameworks, covering both securities and digital assets regulation
• Solid understanding of risk management frameworks and internal control systems
• A network and credibility that commands respect in regulatory conversations
• Confident decision-maker with the ability to challenge effectively at all levels
• Ability to operate at board level with high independence and accountability
• High agency — you find a way, whatever it takes, with whatever you have
• Comfortable providing strategic guidance while remaining hands-on when needed
